Why FreshMenus?

The idea of home cooking. Without the effort – for everyday life

Freshly cooked – for more natural nutrients in the bowl.

Our FreshMenus are made from unprocessed ingredients, which makes them highly digestible. Fresh meat, vegetables, fruit and herbs are gently processed and combined into a complete food.

Every recipe was developed together with our vets. For fresh dog nutrition that simply fits into everyday life.

Gently cooked – to preserve many natural nutrients.

Our FreshMenus are cooked at low temperature in the flavour pouch. This keeps the meat juicy and intensifies the taste.

The result: a fresh meal that dogs love and that fits everyday life at the same time.

Our FreshMenus are delivered frozen.

We deliberately avoid preservatives. Freezing keeps our FreshMenus fresh without harmful additives and preserves as many valuable nutrients from our fresh ingredients as possible.

The best part: You don't have to freeze all the menus. Simply keep a few FreshMenus ready in the fridge. Unopened, they keep there for up to 7 days.

Defrost, serve at room temperature, done.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the FreshMenus

What is a FreshMenu?

FreshMenus are freshly cooked meals for dogs. We make them from carefully selected ingredients in 100 % food-grade quality: filled in raw, then gently cooked in the sealed flavour pouch and frozen to preserve them. This keeps healthy nutrients, fine aroma and the natural taste as intact as possible.

Are the FreshMenus a complete food?

Yes. Every FreshMenu is a complete food and provides your dog with everything it needs each day – energy and essential nutrients including vitamins, minerals and trace elements. You can feed it as a 100 % complete food or use it to complement your current food.

What does „gently cooked“ or sous-vide mean?

The ingredients are filled raw into the flavour pouch, sealed airtight and then heated slowly in the closed pouch – a method known from fine dining as sous-vide cooking. Unlike conventional food, nothing is heated intensely or processed under high pressure. This preserves aroma, taste and many natural nutrients particularly well.

Why are the FreshMenus frozen?

Freezing is one of the gentlest ways to preserve food. The freshness and quality of the ingredients are retained – entirely without preservatives.

Do the FreshMenus contain grain, sugar or preservatives?

No. All FreshMenu varieties are grain-free and contain no added sugar. We also completely avoid preservatives, colourings, artificial flavours and flavour enhancers – we have nothing to hide.

Do I still need to supplement the FreshMenu?

No. As a complete food, the FreshMenus fully cover the needs of a healthy dog. Each menu is supplemented with vitamins, minerals and trace elements as needed – and only with what is really required. What the ingredients naturally provide, we don’t add artificially.

How do I switch my dog to FreshMenus?

Best done gradually over around 10 days, so your dog’s digestion and gut flora can get used to the new food at their own pace:

  • Days 1–3: 75 % previous food, 25 % FreshMenu
  • Days 4–6: 50 % previous food, 50 % FreshMenu
  • Days 7–8: 25 % previous food, 75 % FreshMenu
  • from day 9: 100 % FreshMenu

If your dog is used to wet food or home-cooked meals, the switch is usually quicker. Softer stools or a little more gas during these days are normal.

How do I store FreshMenus correctly?

  • Unopened: frozen at at least −18 °C or up to 7 days in the fridge.
  • Opened: up to 2 days in the fridge.

Partly thawed menus can be safely re-frozen or fed straight away – they are already cooked, there are no raw ingredients involved. To defrost, it’s best to place the portion slowly in the fridge.

At what temperature should I serve FreshMenus?

Room temperature is ideal. It’s gentle on the stomach and gut, aroma and taste develop better – and many dogs take to the food especially well this way.

Which varieties are suitable for sensitive dogs?

Especially for sensitive dogs, we developed the Sensitive varieties Horse and Venison. Both rely on low-allergen protein sources – proteins that many dogs have had little contact with so far and that therefore statistically trigger intolerances less often. If your dog has known allergies, discuss the choice with your vet when in doubt.

Is there a vegan variety?

Yes. Our recipe Lupin with potato, pumpkin & pear is based entirely on plant protein sources and is – like all FreshMenus – a complete food that meets requirements. What matters is not the label but the composition: it provides your dog with all the important nutrients. Whether a vegan diet suits your dog is best decided together with your vet when in doubt.
